A tightly packed field rounds the corner at Saratoga, the United States’ oldest sports venue.
About the Artist: The daughter of artistic parents, New England artist Rebecca Blanchard began drawing when she was five years old. Animals, particularly horses, have been a favorite subject from childhood. She attended the New England School of Art and has studied with the well-known artist and teacher Helen Van Wyk and landscape artist Dennis Sheehan. Rebecca's comissioned work for American Specialty Underwriters led to exhibitions at Saratoga during race month 1992 through 1995. Equine Images Magazine featured her horse portraiture on the cover of its April-May 1995 issue. Her love of painting shines through in her portraits and landscapes.
