Since it’s foundation in 1892 Lahinch Golf Club is rightly regarded among the world’s finest links golf courses. The Old Course today is a spectacular links and is the product of design originally by Old Tom Morris and more significantly in the 1920’s by Alister MacKenzie. This painting depicts a northerly view of the links with the Inagh River, O'Brien's Bridge, and Dough Castle showing behind.
About the Artist: Grame Baxter was born in Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. He is now regarded as a golf artist of international standing. His paintings are in deman for many of the major world championships.
