The Country Club, located in Brookline, Massachusetts, is one of the oldest country clubs in the United States. It is one of the five charter clubs that founded the United States Golf Association, and has hosted numerous USGA tournaments including the 1913 U.S. Open. This painting shows a view across the 18th green with the clubhouse in the background.
About the Artist: Grame Baxter was born in Scotland and studied at the Glasgow School of Art. He is now regarded as a golf artist of international standing. His paintings are in deman for many of the major world championships.
